Leilani Agnes Auwae Balai, 79, of Waianae, Oahu, died Aug. 20. She was born in Olaa and grew up in Keaukaha. Michael Edwin Siu Ling Chang, 53, of Kailua-Kona died Aug. 22 at Hospice of Kona’s Nakamaru Hale. Born in San Francisco, he was a former investment broker and flight attendant. Services held. Ichiro Fujimori, 88, of Hilo died Aug. 25 at home. Born in Mauna Loa, Molokai, he was a retired heavy equipment operator, member of Operating Engineers Local 3 and U.S. Army veteran who served in Germany during World War II.
